13.06-kilometer stretch, in the municipality of Martinópolis, will be concluded by the end of October
With the presence of Governor Geraldo Alckmin, this Friday (July 19, 2013), CART (Concessionária Auto Raposo Tavares) began duplicating another stretch of SP-270 Raposo Tavares. The stretch that is being duplicated is between km 523+840 and km 536+900, in the municipality of Martinópolis. The company will build two new lanes, a hard shoulder, drainage for rainwater, three return devices (at km 533+800, km 528 and km 526), carry out additional works and install horizontal and vertical signs.
With the new devices, the vehicles will no longer cross the highway at the access points to the Martinópolis roads. "The duplication will increase safety and comfort for Raposo Tavares Corridor users and those who live and work in the Martinópolis region. It will also contribute to regional development by boosting commerce, industry, agribusiness, tourism and services," emphasized Tulio Abi-Saber, CART's CEO.
OAS Construtora S.A., CART's service provider, is in charge of duplicating the stretch between 523+840 and km 536+900. Investment in these 13.06 kilometers is estimated at R$26.8 million. Delivery is scheduled for October 2013. In all, 152.8 kilometers of Raposo Tavares will be duplicated in 2014. In all SP-270 Raposo Tavares, the works will create 860 direct and 85 indirect jobs.
CART, an Invepar Rodovias company, manages the Raposo Tavares Corridor, formed by SP-225 João Baptista Cabral Rennó, SP-327 Orlando Quagliato and SP-270 Raposo Tavares, totaling 444 kilometers between Bauru and Presidente Epitácio.
